The Corrosion Technician will be responsible for conducting maintenance, field inspections, and assisting in the application of protective coatings to prevent equipment and infrastructure deterioration. Key duties include assessing corrosion levels, preparing surfaces, applying protective paints and coatings, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality protocols. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Richmond, TX. The technician will collaborate with a team to achieve client-focused goals in an efficient and safe manner.
- Knowledge of corrosion assessment, protective coating application, and surface preparation techniques
- Proficiency with tools and equipment used in painting and corrosion prevention
- Understanding and compliance with safety standards and procedures in industrial environments
- Ability to read and interpret safety guidelines, technical specifications, and project blueprints
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work in physically demanding settings
- Previous experience in the Oil & Gas sector or a similar industry is advantageous
- High school diploma or relevant technical certification is required; additional training in corrosion technology is a plus
- Willingness to work in an outdoor, on-site environment in varying weather conditions
