Technical Truck & Trailer, an Autocar/Cummins truck dealership, is seeking a Master level Diesel Technician. We are looking for a highly motivated, self-guided individual interested in joining a team that’s focused on aggressive growth and maintaining quality service with a customer-first approach. Candidates must possess the skills needed to perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of medium/heavy duty vehicles and equipment while focusing on safety and efficiency.
Hourly Rate
$30 to $45.50 depending on experience

Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of medium/heavy duty equipment – tractors, trailers, refuse vehicles, yard spotters, construction equipment
- Conduct advanced vehicle diagnostics, hydraulic system diagnostics and electrical system diagnostics
- Complete trailer repairs on all trailer systems
- Complete repairs to alternative fuel systems including, but not limited to, CNG and Propane
- Complete repairs on EV systems
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures as well as legal regulations
- Prepare and maintain handwritten and computer-generated work records of garage activities
- Develop valuable customer relations and guarantee efficient attention to customer needs
General Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Diesel Technician
- ASE or State of Michigan Master MD/HD Truck Certification
- CDL A (for test-driving purposes only)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Proficient with diagnostic software including Cummins INSITE, Allison DOC, Tech Tool, Bendix ACom, Meritor WABCO Toolbox
- Experience with oxygen/acetylene torches
- Experience with MIG welding
- Provide your own tools
- Clean driving record (less than 3 moving violations in previous 3 years)
- Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, reach, push/pull, grasp tools, lift/carry 50lbs
- Ability to work in outdoor and noisy environments
