If you like owning hardware from power input to high-speed comms, this is the kind of build role engineers actually want. You’ll own the architecture and bring-up of a ruggedized controller that powers actuators, manages sensors, and connects multiple subsystems using CAN FD 1000BASE-T1 MCU/MPU compute.
You'll be building a rugged industrial/mobile control module that:
- Converts 48V → multiple rails (24V, 5V, 3V3, 1V8, etc.)
- Controls motors, fans, and sensors
- Integrates CAN FD 1G Single Pair Ethernet (1000BASE-T1)
- Connects MCU real-time control MPU Linux compute
- Maintains graceful degradation under failure conditions
- Is designed for EMC, reliability, and production
This is a full hardware ownership role, architecture through validation.
- Designed power trees from 48V input
- Brought up CAN FD networks
- Integrated Ethernet PHYs or switches
- Built boards with MCU MPU / SOM
- Done multi-rail power sequencing
- Routed 4–8 layer boards with high current high speed signals
- Designed for watchdogs, fault handling, failover
- Owned hardware from schematic → bring-up → validation
- Board-level power electronics design ownership
- CAN / CAN FD bring-up and diagnostics
- High-speed comms (Ethernet, SPI, etc.)
- MCU-based control systems
- Multi-rail power architecture
- Schematic ownership and layout guidance
- Hardware bring-up and debugging
- 1000BASE-T1 / Single Pair Ethernet
- Automotive or rugged industrial electronics
- SMARC / SOM integration
- Safety-adjacent hardware
- High-side drivers / motor drivers
- EMC-conscious layout
- Hardware watchdog / failover design
- True design ownership
- Complex architecture (power compute networking)
- Hands-on bring-up
- No bureaucracy
- Fast-moving team
- Interesting hardware (not consumer gadgets)
- High impact build
- Start ASAP!
If you're the kind of engineer who likes owning the board and making it actually work, please apply.
