What are the responsibilities and job description for the E3D/PDMS Administrator position at Technical Staffing Resources?
TSR is seeking an E3D/PDMS Administrator to work with one of the largest EPC firms in the country. This is a long-term contract position located in Newark, DE with a hybrid schedule.
The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of both PDMS/E3D Administration and Global administration after having utilized PDMS/E3D as a project designer. However, the PDMS/E3D Administration and Global Administration can be taught if needed.
Responsibilities:
- Support PDMS/E3D users at both the office and plant sites, who utilize PDMS/E3D for their project design. This includes:
- 1st line application support to answer user questions and resolve issues with E3D Design/Model and Draw modules
- Create and maintain model users accounts utilizing the E3D Admin module
- Set-up nightly schedules tasks for Review/NavisWorks, DICE, and Spatial Map updates.
- Set-up and maintain the Global model working environment including MDB and DB creation
- Create and maintain E3D Global model sharing including both Hub and satellites to maintain alignment of the models between the design offices and plant sites
- Incorporate processed laser scan data into the E3D and NavisWorks project working environment
Requirements
- PDMS/E3D knowledge is required; Design background using PDMS/E3D for project Piping design preferred (other design discipline knowledge is also acceptable)
- Good communication skills and the ability to relay/explain various technology solutions to architecture, engineering and construction professionals
- Openness to learn new things
- Must have a “Team attitude”, be self-motivated and be willing to support other groups and projects when required
