The Staff Accountant I plays a foundational role in maintaining the integrity of our financial records. This entry-level accounting position supports the staff accounting group with day-to-day accounting tasks, helping ensure accuracy across general ledger accounts, bank transactions, and financial reporting for multiple companies within the TSS Family of Companies.
What will you do?
- Maintain reports, records, and general ledger accounts for multiple companies under the guidance of senior team members
- Prepare routine journal entries in accordance with company policies and GAAP
- Assist with standard balance sheet account reconciliations
- Support the reconciliation of bank transactions and resolve basic discrepancies
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Support the review of financial statements for accuracy in revenue and expense recognition
- Learn and adhere to company capital policy and financial reporting standards
- Other duties as assigned
TSS offers competitive salaries and a wide range of benefits:
- Salary range of $67,000 - $90,000 annually (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with industry data.)

Education And Experience
- Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or another related field
- 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience, required
- A combination of education, experience and training may meet requirements
- Foundational understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- High attention to detail with a willingness to learn and grow within a structured accounting environment
- Team-oriented with a natural curiosity to understand all areas of the business
- Eagerness to take ownership of assigned tasks and meet deadlines consistently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Demonstrated self-starter who is comfortable working independently
