About Technical Arts Group (TAG)
TAG is a full-service production company that supports some of the biggest live events, concerts, and corporate shows around. Our warehouse in Moonachie, NJ handles all lighting, audio, video, staging, and rigging gear for projects across the country.
We’re looking for a Moving Light Technician to join our lighting department — someone who’s hands-on, detail-oriented, and takes pride in making sure every fixture leaving the shop is show-ready.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Prep, test, and clean moving lights before and after shows.
- Troubleshoot and repair lighting fixtures — motors, sensors, fans, and power supplies.
- Load firmware, patch DMX addresses, and test with control consoles.
- Help build and organize lighting packages for outgoing shows.
- Restock and inspect gear coming back from events.
- Keep the lighting area neat, labeled, and properly inventoried.
- Assist with truck loading/unloading when needed — everyone pitches in.
- Follow warehouse safety procedures and handle equipment with care.
What We’re Looking For
- 2 years of experience working with moving lights (MA, Robe, Martin, Ayrton, etc.) preferred — but strong techs with a good attitude will be considered.
- Good understanding of DMX, power, and control systems.
- Ability to solder, troubleshoot, and repair common issues.
- Dependable, organized, and not afraid to get your hands dirty.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders when needed.
- Works well in a team and communicates clearly.
