Quality Manager

JOB SUMMARY

The QM’s focus is on the operational aspects of quality, including the Service Management System (SMS), ISO Standard 20000-1, as well as certain aspects of the Quality Management System (QMS), ISO Standard 9001. The QM will report to the Management Representative (MR) who maintains a broader scope of all 3 of TAPE’s ISO certifications (9001, 20000-1, 27001).

Primary responsibilities of the QM role include: day-to-day quality control activities, monitoring products and services, and the meeting of customer expectations. The job scope also includes Quality elements such as a focus on (both internal & external) customer engagement, conducting audits, risk management, implementing corrective actions, and identifying & acting upon continual improvement opportunities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Assists MR to implement and maintain TAPE’s QMS:

o Ensure TAPE QMS conformance to internal and external customer’s regulatory/legal requirements.

o Perform internal auditing i.e. engage/interview program managers and department heads re interdepartmental efficiency, harmony, and balance as well as for accuracy of department Quality documentation (policies, procedures, and forms).

o Collect, as a successful part of both internal and external audits, documented evidence of adherence to policy and process/procedural steps.

o Note evolution/changes in Quality policies/process steps from any and all staff interaction & report these changes to MR. MR & QM will use this information to occasionally update and make dept Quality documentation newly accurate and complete.

o Complete action trackers in a timely manner, including the preparing of reports both for MR and Leadership.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree

(In lieu of college degree, a minimum of 8 years of Quality Management experience)

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Knowledgeable in Lean Six Sigma

• Familiar with the benefits of Emotional Intelligence in Management best practices

• Competent with Record Keeping/Documentation

• Experienced with Quality Auditing
