Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various telecommunications and electrical systems in the field. The Field Technician will work independently and collaboratively to ensure high-quality service delivery to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications equipment including fiber optic systems and Ethernet networks.
- Utilize diagnostic tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Perform fiber splicing and ensure proper connectivity of network components.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Respond promptly to service calls and provide on-site support for clients.
- Document all service activities, including repairs made and parts used, in a clear and concise manner.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve complex technical issues effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Service Technician or in a similar field service role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems.
- Proficiency in computer networking concepts and practices.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment.
- Experience with fiber splicing techniques is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently in diverse environments while managing time efficiently.
- A valid driver's license is required for travel to job sites.
