We are seeking experienced technical professionals to provide development, production support, and deep diagnostic expertise for a large, mission-critical legacy commercial loan accounting platform. This highly customized system is based on Level 3 from AFS, built in COBOL and operating through a 3270 interface, with extensive online transaction processing via CICS and a complex VSAM master file architecture.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Application Development & Enhancement
- Maintain and enhance COBOL-based mainframe applications supporting commercial loan accounting.
- Implement new features and optimize existing code for performance and reliability.
- Production Support & Diagnostics
- Provide L2/L3 support for mission-critical applications, ensuring system stability and availability.
- Perform deep diagnostic analysis, troubleshoot incidents, and deliver permanent resolutions.
- Manage large-scale batch processing environments using CA7 scheduling, coordinating complex inbound and outbound file exchanges.
- System Integration
- Support real-time integrations, including synchronous web-based interactions via CICS Web Services (CWSDirect).
- Manage asynchronous messaging and system interoperability through MQ.
- Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with deconversion teams and interface partners across multiple upstream and downstream systems.
- Document processes, provide clear technical communication, and ensure smooth coordination in a highly interdependent environment.
