Role purpose
Leads the assessment of procurement, inventory, order-to-cash, customer service and warehouse processes, and owns the integrated logistics view across the in-scope business unit.
Key responsibilities
• Lead discovery workshops across procure-to-pay, inventory management, order-to-cash, customer service and warehouse operations.
• Assess vendor and customer master requirements and the Business Partner conversion approach from the legacy ERP.
• Evaluate pricing, contracts, rebates, ATP, delivery, billing and returns processes against the client’s global template.
• Assess hazardous material handling, shipping documentation and compliance-driven logistics requirements.
• Assess warehouse structure, inbound and outbound logistics, internal movements and batch-managed storage to support the conditional EWM scope decision.
• Assess integration touchpoints with CRM, procurement network, shipping platforms, EDI customers and third-party logistics.
• Document fit-gap outcomes, master data impacts, interface inventory inputs and Phase 2 recommendations.
Required SAP and domain expertise
• Broad SAP S/4HANA logistics expertise spanning MM, inventory management, SD, customer service and WM or EWM.
• Procure-to-pay, source-to-pay, subcontracting, consignment, stock transfers and physical inventory.
• Order-to-cash including pricing, ATP, delivery, billing, returns and credit management.
• Business Partner / CVI conversion, batch handling and stock reconciliation at cutover.
• Integration with CRM, procurement network, EDI and middleware platforms.
Experience and qualifications
• Minimum 15 years of SAP supply chain and logistics experience with several end-to-end implementations or rollouts.
• Proven leadership of integrated multi-module logistics workstreams in a US or global environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, engineering or business; relevant SAP certification desirable.
Phase 1 deliverables owned
• MM, SD, CS and WM as-is process inventory and fit-gap matrix.
• Warehouse Management scope recommendation for the conditional Phase 2 decision.
• Logistics master data and open transaction migration considerations.
