Job Title: State Lead Specialist Support / Health Information Admin

Position Summary
The State Lead Specialist Support / Health Information Admin will assist the Indiana Department of Health (IDOH) Lead Surveillance Program. The contractor will support the State Lead Specialist and may be assigned a district (20–40 counties) to work with local health departments in monitoring children with elevated blood lead levels (EBLL).
Key Responsibilities
- Track EBLL cases in Indiana’s NBS system to ensure timely case management and closure
- Meet weekly with IDOH Case Surveillance Program Manager to review caseloads and county issues
- Collaborate with IDOH Data Analyst on testing patterns and risk factors
- Coordinate inspections with Division Program Coordinators
- Provide technical assistance and updates on Lead Code (410 IAC 29) and emerging issues
- Support families with retesting or home visits when required
- Travel to counties in assigned district for coordination with health department staff
- Attend annual public health nurse meetings and present program updates
- Review and edit program guidance and grant applications
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, webinar/conference call technology
- Strong organizational and case-tracking skills
- Ability to adapt to change, solve problems, and think critically
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of HIPAA and handling sensitive data
- Ability to build relationships with health departments, community leaders, and families
Highly Desired Skills
- 2 years of experience in public health case management
- 2 years of experience working with families, physicians, or health department personnel
- Knowledge of 410 IAC 29, lead regulations, or healthy homes
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Environmental Health, or related field
Working Conditions
- Onsite office environment in Indianapolis, IN
- Daily use of computer, phone, and video conferencing tools
- Periodic in-state travel (mileage reimbursed)
- Training provided on state systems, lead code, and program requirements
