We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in aircraft maintenance and repair, demonstrating proficiency in both mechanical and electrical systems. This role involves working with various aircraft components, ensuring compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, and maintaining high safety standards. The Aircraft Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and conducting routine maintenance to ensure the airworthiness of aircraft.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft systems and components to identify defects or malfunctions.
- Perform maintenance tasks including assembly, fabrication, and repair of airframe structures and systems.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and ammeters to ensure accurate measurements during repairs.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues effectively.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for equipment repair and maintenance tasks.
- Execute root cause analysis to determine the underlying causes of mechanical failures.
- Maintain accurate records using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance schedules while adhering to safety protocols.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in aircraft maintenance and vehicle maintenance.
- Familiarity with avionics systems and electrical experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during repairs and installations.
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) related to aircraft operations and maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills demonstrated through effective root cause analysis techniques.
