Who are YOU?
You are a Senior GIS Analyst with six or more years of GIS experience and a professional GIS certification, ready to support our U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) Environmental Services Assistance Team (ESAT) contract.
What does your day/week look like?
- You will create detailed cartographic products with complex feature labeling utilizing Esri ArcGIS Pro.
- Manage datasets in geodatabases.
- You will work with and mentor junior to mid-level GIS Analysts.
- Perform routine and complex GIS analysis to support mapping projects.
- You will create and maintain ArcGIS Server web services.
- You will peer review all maps/data produced by the team ensuring compliance with technical directives and standard operating procedures.
- Participate in field sampling events throughout EPA Region 8 (Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, and Dakotas).
What do you need for this amazing opportunity?
- A bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, Geology, Computer Science or a related science field
- A professional GIS certification (Esri ArcGIS, GISP, USGIF GEOINT, or equivalent)
- Legal U.S. citizenship, with ability to obtain and maintain state and federal security clearances
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Good written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment; flexible and quickly adaptable to changing priorities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- A valid driver’s license and safe driving record
