Tax Preparer/Tax Accountant

Job description:

Senior Tax Accountant to join our growing team on Cape Cod. If you’re an experienced tax professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys mentoring others, we’d love to meet you.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare timely and accurate S Corp, partnership, and personal tax returns
• Review work completed by team members and support the Director as needed
• Serve as a resource and mentor for junior tax accountants
• Communicate directly with clients and provide expert tax guidance
• Assist with hiring, training, and performance reviews
• Handle additional projects as assigned

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3 years of experience in business and personal tax preparation
• Ability to manage complex tax engagements independently
• Proficiency with Lacerte, ProSeries, and FX tax software
• Strong communication skills, professionalism, and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and maintain strict confidentiality

Technical Skills & Experience

• Advanced knowledge of federal and state tax codes and updates.
• High proficiency with tax preparation software and related digital tools
• Ability to review and analyze complex tax documents and calculations Bonus Points

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.78 - $57.07 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:

• preparing personal and Business tax,: 1 year (Required)
