The Role:
We are seeking an Enterprise Architect based in Sydney to support a high-visibility client engagement in the Sydney CBD area. This person will work closely with senior business and technology stakeholders to help shape the architecture, strategy, and long-term direction of digital products across the client’s technology ecosystem.
This is a client-facing role that requires more than technical depth. We need someone who can understand business priorities, assess current systems, define future-state architecture, and communicate recommendations clearly to executives, product leaders, engineering teams, and delivery stakeholders.
The ideal candidate has strong experience across digital product architecture, cloud platforms, integrations, APIs, data flows, enterprise systems, and modern software delivery. They should be comfortable operating at both the strategic and technical level, helping align product vision, technical decisions, and delivery execution.
Experience in real estate technology, proptech, property platforms, or adjacent real estate domains is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a senior architecture leader and trusted advisor for a client engagement in Sydney.
- Work on-site in the Sydney CBD area 3 to 4 days per week.
- Partner with executive stakeholders, product leaders, technology leaders, and delivery teams to define architecture direction.
- Assess current digital product ecosystems, platforms, systems, integrations, and technical dependencies.
- Define future-state architecture that supports scalability, performance, security, maintainability, and business growth.
- Translate business priorities into practical architecture recommendations and technology roadmaps.
- Provide guidance across digital products, cloud platforms, APIs, integrations, data architecture, and enterprise systems.
- Align architecture decisions with product strategy, delivery plans, and stakeholder expectations.
- Create clear architecture documentation, diagrams, recommendations, and decision records.
- Partner with technical teams to ensure solutions are implemented in line with agreed architecture standards.
- Identify architectural risks, technical debt, integration challenges, and modernization opportunities.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience as an Enterprise Architect, Solution Architect, Principal Architect, or similar senior architecture role.
- Experience supporting digital products, enterprise platforms, or complex technology ecosystems.
- Strong understanding of modern software architecture, cloud platforms, APIs, integrations, data flows, and enterprise systems.
- Ability to connect business goals with technical strategy and execution.
- Experience working directly with senior stakeholders, including executives, product leaders, and technology leaders.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical tradeoffs clearly.
- Experience creating architecture roadmaps, technical recommendations, diagrams, and documentation.
- Ability to guide engineering and delivery teams without needing to be the day-to-day engineering manager.
- Comfortable operating in a client-facing consulting or professional services environment.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in real estate technology, proptech, property management platforms, brokerage platforms, leasing systems, or adjacent real estate domains.
- Experience with GCP or other major cloud platforms.
- Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, modern web platforms, or cloud-native application environments.
- Experience with product modernization, platform consolidation, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Familiarity with security, compliance, data governance, and enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Prior consulting, professional services, or client advisory experience.
