Job Description
Client seeking a skilled Immunization Helpdesk Analyst to support the state’s Immunization Information System (IIS). This role focuses heavily on data integrity, trouble-shooting, deduplication, and customer support, ensuring accurate immunization record maintenance for healthcare providers and public health stakeholders.
The ideal candidate brings strong analytical abilities, experience in healthcare IT or helpdesk environments, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical and customer support to healthcare providers, public health agencies, and internal users related to immunization system functionality.
- Investigate and resolve duplicate records, bad merges, and other data quality issues in the IIS.
- Utilize deduplication tools, data matching algorithms, and record linkage techniques to ensure data accuracy.
- Escalate complex cases to technical teams or data stewards when needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all support interactions within the ticketing system.
- Educate users on best practices for data entry, record management, and system compliance.
- Collaborate closely with IT and data quality teams to enhance system performance and deduplication processes.
- Assist with system testing for updates, enhancements, and new implementations.
- Generate reports on data quality trends and support development of training materials.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, IT, Public Health, or related field.
- 4.5 years of experience in helpdesk, healthcare IT support, or data quality roles.
- Strong experience with deduplication tools, data matching, and record linkage.
- Familiarity with Immunization Information Systems (IIS).
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
Desired Skills
- Experience with ServiceNow or other ticketing systems; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of HL7 messaging and public health data standards.
- Prior experience with state or local public health departments.
- Understanding of HIPAA and data privacy regulations.
