Business Systems Analyst

Location: Indianapolis, IN

• 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Consultant, or similar role in technology or government.
• 8 years of business analysis and problem-solving experience in a consultative or project setting.
• 8 years of experience cultivating and managing business relationships with multiple stakeholders.
• 8 years of strong technical, written, and oral communication skills with technical, data, business, project management, and leadership audiences.
• 8 years of experience creating and documenting business requirements and user stories.
• 8 years of experience working with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience working with Azure DevOps.
• Experience working with the Salesforce platform, including supporting business processes and eliciting/documenting requirements.
• Experience collaborating with technical and business stakeholders in a Salesforce environment.
• Salesforce Certified Business Analyst Certification.

The ideal candidate must be able to translate complex business problems into practical, actionable solutions expressed through well-structured business requirements and user stories. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

The Senior Business Systems Analyst operates at the enterprise level, performing comprehensive IT and data systems analysis to support strategic and operational needs.

• Develop and maintain strong business relationships to effectively present technology and data-driven solutions that address critical organizational challenges.
• Serve as the business relationship manager for specialized functional/business areas, providing strategic guidance and leadership to drive effective organizational change.
• Build strong partnerships with IT and data practitioners, including Data Governance, IT Project Management, and QA teams, to develop detailed, high-quality requirements.
• Serve as the bridge between business needs and technical teams, translating complex technology and data concepts for business stakeholders while conveying business objectives and requirements to IT teams.
• Lead efforts to reengineer systems and enhance quality and efficiency by identifying root causes and breaking down silos across business areas.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and advance interoperability across systems, data, and business processes.
• Document comprehensive business and user requirements with clear and precise technical-to-business translation.
• Help prevent defects during testing by ensuring all solution areas are fully identified and requirements are complete.
• Plan advanced integrations at both enterprise and detailed levels, conducting research and strategic planning within established governance frameworks.
• Support digital transformation strategic planning and help lead organizational culture change.
• Manage expectations across customers, peers, vendors, and leadership to ensure alignment and smooth delivery of solutions.
• Follow established governance practices and actively promote their adoption across the organization.
