Key Responsibilities
- Own the design, implementation, and maintenance of a scalable end-to-end QA automation framework
- Select and standardize automation tools and best practices (Playwright, Selenium, API testing)
- Build and maintain automated tests for UI, APIs, and critical end-to-end workflows
- Design resilient automation strategies for legacy front-end frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap 3)
- Minimize flaky tests by defining stable locator strategies and improving test reliability
- Integrate automated testing into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines with shift-left testing
- Collaborate closely with .NET, front-end, product, and DevOps teams
- Participate in design and code reviews to identify quality and testability risks early
- Define quality gates and release readiness criteria
- Continuously improve test performance, stability, and feedback quality
- Advocate automation-first, engineering-driven quality practices across teams
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 5 years of experience in QA automation or software engineering with a testing focus
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and/or Selenium
- Proven experience testing legacy front-end stacks (Bootstrap 3, jQuery-heavy UIs)
- Experience building automation frameworks from scratch or leading major refactors
- Solid understanding of .NET / ASP.NET / .NET Core architectures
- Experience testing RESTful APIs and service-oriented systems
- Hands-on experience with Azure, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong programming skills in C# or another language
- Deep understanding of test design, testability, and automation trade-offs
Preferred Qualifications
- SaaS or multi-tenant platform experience
- Experience modernizing automation strategies for legacy UI frameworks
- Familiarity with containerized or ephemeral test environments
- Experience with test data management and environment orchestration
- Background in performance, load, or reliability testing
- Experience mentoring engineers on quality and automation best practices
