This scope of work for this electrical engineering position includes overseeing and contributing to large-scale dispatchable projects such as combustion turbines. As a project engineer, this person will be responsible for providing electrical expertise, with a focus on evaluating project drawings and handling requests for information (RFIs) across multiple projects. Project Overview includes Large Projects near Mead, CO; Two dispatchable facilities, which one is in construction and the other has started design. This resource should have 9 years of electrical engineering experience with 3 years specifically in the dispatchable generation project space (construction or engineering design) and should be willing/able to travel to the site.
- What are the top 3-5 skills and qualifications required? 9 years of electrical engineering experience with 3 years specifically in the dispatchable generation project space (construction or engineering design). Resource should have a bachelor''s degree from an ABET accredited school or strong/commensurate experience. Resource should have very strong written and verbal communication skills along with strong analytical [thinking] skills to resolve answering questions, troubleshooting design conflicts, etc. Organization is key in this role as they will be interfacing with several different teams, tracking and documenting. Resource should have knowledge of/familiarity with NCRs, RFIs, and the ability to understand and manage the scope of a contract.
- What non-technical skills are necessary (i.e., such as communication, problem solving, team player)? This resource should be a strong team player with experience preferably in a large matrixed organization which would show proof of the ability to work cross functionally. Also be detail oriented, strong communication skills, and strong troubleshooting skills to resolve design issues that may come up as the project progresses.
