Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located on the southside of Indianapolis, IN. You will play a crucial role as a team member in our paint shop. This position is meant for motivated individuals seeking the potential for growth and increased responsibility as they expand their knowledge and experience in these areas. An ideal candidate will have basic mechanical aptitude and/or experience working in a body shop/paint shop environment. This is a great opportunity for an individual looking to gain hands on experience in the product display/training industry working with our team. You will be responsible for surface preparation, applying paint and coatings, conducting quality inspections, and ensuring a high standard of craftsmanship. Additional duties include collaborating with team members and adhering to safety and quality protocols to meet project deadlines and client expectations.
Duties
- Complete painting process and tasks to complete projects on time which include prepping for paint, sanding, bondo work, masking, taping, bagging, mixing paint, painting, untapping, touch up and buffing.
- Ability to mix and paint base coats, tri coats, solids, metallics and clear coats
- Assure that the paint area and mix rooms are clean and products are stored as labeled
- Support shop activities such as loading, unloading, and moving materials using forklifts.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the paint shop to promote safety and efficiency.
- Experience in any of the following will be helpful and beneficial:
Machine shop - drill press, Bridgeport mill, saws, lathes, grinding, sandblasting
Weld shop – welding, fixturing, setup and prep
Wood shop - table saw, circular saw, jig saw, sanding and building
Paint shop - body work, grinding, sanding, prepping, painting
Disassembly and assembly process of projects and organizing parts.
Operate hand tools and power tools safely to aid in manufacturing tasks.
Ability to drive a forklift - Training can be provided.

- Cleaning and organizing of work area as needed to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Must know how to use HVLP paint guns (Devilbiss) or similar.
- Must be able to mix paints by following a formula guide along with additives.
- Ability to complete quality finished product(s) efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work in a heavy manufacturing environment requiring awkward stances and positions for periods of time throughout the workday
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Good verbal communication is required.
- Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills
- Physical ability to stand, lift, bend, and perform manual tasks
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- General painting knowledge or aptitude required.
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Technology/Equipment: Basic hand tools, basic electrical equipment, computer/phone

- The employee is occasionally required to sit, bend, squat, crawl or lay on back, push and pull.
- The employee may infrequently kneel and lift or carry up to 50lbs.
Working Environment:
The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
- We have a climate-controlled shop and warehouse.
- Frequent exposure to working near moving mechanical equipment, fumes or airborne particles, vibration and loud noise.
- Infrequent exposure to chemicals that require PPE and/or ventilation.

Expected hours:
40 per week (Mon-Fri) 7:00am – 3:30pm and mandatory overtime as project deadlines dictate.
