Tech7 is looking for an Agile Product Owner join our team located in Colorado Springs, CO. This is a hybrid role that will require on-site attendance per our customer request.
We’re seeking an experienced product owner to help lead the mission. The ideal candidate will have big ideas and strategies that foster an environment of collaboration and creativity. We need someone who has an inquisitive mindset for distilling business value and goals into roadmaps and refined product backlogs. Most important, we need a product manager who can help us build better products that help to improve the mission space.
Responsibilities will include:
- Work closely with Scrum Masters, other Product Owners, Program team leads, high functioning cross-functional teams, and Government Program leads to ensure required team resourcing and support.
- Understand Agile Product Owner deliverables and requirements (selected by gov’t lead)
- Understand and Manage Agile software processes with DRAGON Army Scrum Masters and Agile coach.
- Understand and actively work in Atlassian Confluence, JIRA, and GitLab software tools or gov’t designated tool for managing Agile processes.
- Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks within a product team, and produce program reports/briefings for management and stakeholders.
- Understand employee motivation & satisfaction within the Product teams and articulate detailed reports to the Program Management office and Stakeholders.
- Be able to step in during the Scrum Masters absence.
Duties include:
- Plan and prioritize product development and product feature backlog.
- Develop detailed product feature specifications and ensure they’re clearly understood by relevant teams.
- Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work aligns with product strategy.
- Mitigate roadblocks to achieving sprint/release goals.
- Lead the product release plans and set expectations for delivery of new functionalities.
- Serve as product ambassador internally and externally, sharing knowledge and answering questions.
Education requirements
- Bachelor's degree, in area of STEM specialty or related field.
- Active Certification: Certified Product Owner (in any Agile flavor such as SAFe, Scrum, etc.)
Experience:
- Entry-junior level, up to 5 years' experience.
- Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills.
- Extraordinary communication skills.
- Prior experience with stakeholder management and leadership skills.
- Experience working in Atlassian Confluence and Jira, GitLab or other dev/sec/ops tools.
- Experience working in Agile lifecycle software development.
- Ability to communicate consistently with the gov’t team and scrum team.
- Requires comprehensive understanding of agile methodology and tool knowledge.
- Requires ability to quickly adapt and respond to change.
Clearance:
- Top Secret eligibility required.
Salary range: Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Pay Transparency Range: $116,031 - $165,257
