A leading PET packaging manufacturer, is hiring a Senior Plastic Injection Molding Technologist to support production, troubleshoot equipment and quality issues, and improve molding processes. We are only considering candidates with hands-on PET preform injection molding experience, ideally on Husky machines with high-cavitation molds. General plastics or blow molding experience alone will not qualify.
Senior Plastic Injection Molding Technologist (PET Preform / Husky)
Location: St. Louis, MO (On-site, Full-Time)
Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year

Responsibilities
- Run, set up, and troubleshoot PET preform injection molding machines
- Set up product recipes and PLC parameters
- Make mechanical and electrical adjustments to maintain quality and output
- Investigate quality issues and equipment problems
- Install and set up auxiliary equipment (dryers, compressors, leak testers, cameras, palletizers)
- Train production staff and support continuous improvement projects
Requirements
- 5 years of plastics manufacturing experience
- Hands-on Husky (or similar) PET preform injection molding experience with high-cavitation molds
- Strong mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with measuring instruments
- Knowledge of WCM (World Class Manufacturing) standards is a plus
