In this role, you will focus heavily on designing and building Adaptive Web Form content using the AEM forms toolset. You will collaborate closely with the existing engineering team to enhance delivery pipelines and leverage cutting-edge AI technologies (such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code) to drive efficiency throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Form Modernization: Design, build, and deploy Adaptive Web Form content using AEM Forms and core components within a headless setup.
- End-to-End Development: Manage the complete lifecycle of forms, from frontend UI development to backend submission logic and Document of Record (DOR) generation.
- API & System Integration: Utilize core AEM concepts to build and define robust APIs for managing form submissions.
- Pipeline Optimization: Collaborate with the team to refine and enhance code delivery pipelines, ensuring smooth code upgrades, package deployments, and promotions.
- AI-Assisted Engineering: Actively integrate GenAI coding assistants into daily engineering workflows for code generation, refactoring, unit testing, and documentation.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to SAML, OSGi bundles, and AEM Dispatcher configurations within a forms environment.
Required Qualifications
Technical Experience
- AEM Expertise: 6 years of hands-on experience working with the on-premise version of the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) toolset.
- AEM Forms: Direct experience with AEM forms, specifically building Adaptive Web Forms using Core components in a headless setup.
- Form Authoring & Logic: Proven experience using Rule editors, Theme editor, Form Data Model (FDM), and writing custom JavaScript functions.
- Web & Component Development: Professional-level frontend skillsets including HTML, JSP, and NPM webpack build.
- AEM Architecture: Strong knowledge of code upgrades, code promotion, core component upgrades, package manager deployments, and AEM Dispatcher management within a forms environment.
- Testing & CI/CD: Experience with automated testing of Adaptive forms alongside CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket, Bamboo, Jenkins, and GitHub.
AI & Modern Workflow Competencies
- GenAI Proficiency: Demonstrated exposure to, or hands-on experience with, GenAI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) across day-to-day SDLC workflows (implementation, refactoring, unit testing, regression support, code reviews, scripting, and troubleshooting).
- Agentic Workflows: Working knowledge of agentic workflows and spec-driven development—specifically translating low-level design artifacts (class structures, API contracts, data models) into structured prompts and custom instructions that guide AI-assisted implementation.
- Best Practices: Ability to establish team-level practices for effective, validated AI-assisted development.
