1-2-3 Equipment Solutions primarily serves restaurant and hospitality customers across Virginia and North Carolina by offering maintenance/repair and installation/replacement of HVAC, refrigeration, and hot-side kitchen equipment. The company also provides temporary cold storage solutions for planned maintenance and unplanned emergencies.

Position Summary

The Senior Commercial Hot & Cold Technician is responsible for driving a company vehicle to customer locations to diagnose, maintain, and repair a wide range of commercial cooking, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment. This role requires advanced troubleshooting skills, strong technical expertise, and the ability to work independently while delivering exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned technician with extensive experience servicing both hot-side and cold-side commercial equipment, capable of mentoring junior technicians, managing complex repairs, and ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and professional service.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment.
• Inspects the commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment and their related components to ensure safe operation.
• Communicates with customer and branch staff regarding status of repairs to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated with customers.
• Completes service tickets according to procedures.
• Tracks truck stock to ensure needed parts are stocked on vehicle.
• Sustains service vehicle, tools, and uniforms to Tech24 standards.
• Sets a positive example for less experienced and/or new technicians by being a Company advocate.
• Follows all company policies and procedures, particularly regarding safety.
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• 5 years of commercial hot-side and/or refrigeration service experience.
• EPA Universal Certification preferred
• Experience mentoring and supporting less experienced technicians.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across commercial foodservice and refrigeration equipment.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage service calls with minimal supervision.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency for service documentation and communication.
• Must possess standard industry hand tools.
• Ability to travel throughout the assigned service area.
• Ability to work occasional nights, weekends, and holidays as part of an on-call rotation.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to continuous learning.
