DURATION: 25 Months

LOCATION: Albany, NY - Hybrid

The Expert Project Manager will provide Project Management support for DMV Transformation.

Qualifications

• Project Manager- Plans, organizes and integrates cross-functional information technology projects that are significant in scope and impact.
  
• Expert- 84 months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
  
• 84 months of experience managing projects in a state or federal government environment.
  
• 36 months of active PMP certification through PMI (must be current).
  
• 84 months of experience in the creation of meeting agendas, meeting minutes, and project communications for 2 or more years functional projects.
  
• 84 months of experience in the creation of project management scopes, business cases, and/or project plans for 2 or more years functional projects
  
• 84 months of experience in project management maintaining and managing a 2 or more years functional project schedule including milestones and resources.
  
• 84 months of experience using one or more of the following Project Methodologies; Waterfall, Agile, Kanban, Scrum and Lean.

Day-to-Day tasks

• Allocation, estimation, and reporting of project resources;
  
• Identification and maintenance of critical path and contingencies;
  
• Utilization of formal project change control process;
  
• Identification, monitoring, control, and mitigation planning of project risks;
  
• Creation and management of project documentation including but not limited to scope statement, schedule, budget, quality plan, risks, issues, and communication plan;
  
• Establishment of project team roles and responsibilities;
  
• Facilitation of regular status meetings with project team to monitor project health and progress;
  
• Creation of weekly and monthly status reports to communicate project status to all levels of stakeholders including executives, sponsors, and management;
  
• Facilitation of sponsor and executive level meetings;
  
• Provide guidance of projects with 20 or more project participants.
