As a Maintenance Planner, you'll step into a high-ownership role focused on transforming and streamlining preventative and corrective maintenance operations. Your core mission: increase equipment uptime, reduce costs, and lead the planning process that ensures work gets done right the first time, with minimal disruption.
What You’ll Do:
Launch and manage a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to schedule, track, and analyze preventive and corrective maintenance.
Collaborate cross-functionally with maintenance staff, production, engineering, and purchasing to drive equipment reliability and cost savings.
Plan and schedule maintenance work based on downtime windows, resource availability, and operational priorities.
Develop PM procedures and support the implementation for both existing and new equipment.
Hands-on support troubleshooting machinery and guiding maintenance technicians through complex issues.
Manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability and cost efficiency.
Oversee external contractors, facility-related vendor repairs, and capital projects related to facility maintenance and equipment upgrades.
Ensure safety compliance, conduct contractor safety training, and promote a safety-first culture.
What You Bring:
5 years of hands-on maintenance technician experience in a manufacturing environment.
3 years working with CMMS software, including workflow organization and preventative maintenance planning.
Mechanical aptitude, especially with hydraulic systems; knowledge of PLC programming or electrical systems is a plus.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and a commitment to process improvement.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Valid NYS driver’s license.
