Material Handler / Machine Operator

Shift Flexibility

-Day and Swing Shifts

-Full and Part-Time

- 4 and 5 Day Work Weeks

- 8 and 10 Hour Shifts

General Description

· Compiles and maintains material/parts inventory and status information to expedite the movement of material/parts between specified production areas.

· Loads materials onto vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.

· Secures lifting attachments to materials and conveys load to destination, using hand-operated crane or hoist, or signals crane or hoisting operators to move load to destination.

· Records and maintains an inventory of quantity, type of materials, parts received, and parts distributed.

· Compiles and maintains records, such as material inventory records.

· May examine material received, verify part numbers, and check discrepancies, such as damaged or unmarked parts.

· May compare work ticket specifications to the material used at workstations to verify the appropriate assignment

Machine Operator – Run and maintain Drill Line, coper, Saw, Plasma Table, or Angle Line.

Requirements

• Requires standing, sitting, bending, squatting, twisting, and must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must have good organizational skills
• Must have a good work ethic
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Effective leadership and team management skills
• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Pass pre-employment drug test
• Ability to understand simple functions on a computer/tablet (Windows, Excel, and Microsoft Word).
• Overhead Crane Operation
• Forklift Experience
