Salary Range: $120,000 – $140,000 per year
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Start Date: January 2026
On-Site Requirement: 100% on-site at client location

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations to lead and integrate multiple operational departments at our South Windsor, CT location. This is a senior leadership role responsible for translating operational strategy into short- and long-term execution while driving productivity, quality, and continuous improvement across the organization.

The ideal candidate is a strong people leader with a LEAN mindset, experience managing multi-department operations, and a proven ability to align teams with business objectives while maintaining a people-focused culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple production departments, ensuring quality, safety, customer satisfaction, and on-time delivery.
• Translate operational strategy into short- and long-term plans supporting organizational growth and performance.
• Establish department and individual performance goals using LEAN principles and continuous improvement practices.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cost management for multiple operational units.
• Drive productivity, efficiency, and quality through standardized processes and performance metrics.
• Build, develop, and retain high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring, and training.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and customers.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, audits, inspections, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead vendor management, supply chain coordination, production planning, and scheduling.
• Promote and uphold company values, ethical leadership, and a culture of accountability and engagement.
• Identify opportunities for operational improvement and collaborate cross-functionally to implement best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 6–8 years of related operations leadership experience (industry experience preferred).
• 10 years of experience and/or MBA strongly preferred.
• Proven experience managing multiple departments and managers in a production or operations environment.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and public-speaking abilities.
• Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and drive data-based decisions.
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse, fast-paced environment.
• Occasional travel may be required.
