2nd Shift Production Supervisor

PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

FLSA Status: Exempt

Benefit Group:  Management Employee

Reports To: Warehouse Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning and assigning work, implement policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.  

 RESPONSIBILITES:  

• Actively engage in process improvement efforts and suggestions; regularly reviewing process steps in current state for production.  
• Track daily production performance efficiency
• Hire, train, and manage designated departments/positions
• Chair the locations Safety Committee.
• Ensure effective employee relations. Provide employee coaching and development. Makes employment decisions. Resolve employee issues through problem resolution.
• Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.
• Identify (delay) issues and notify proper department manager for corrective activity.
• Follow standard operating/work methods and/or assist in development.
• Facilitate and organize effective Training that is unique to Tech Packaging
• Preparing reports to summarize trends.  
• Actively participate in daily production/pre-shift meetings.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.    

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Bi-lingual is required (Spanish/English). Basic command of English a must!
• 3-5 years of industry experience
• 3 years of Supervisory or Management
• Strong Excel Skills is required.
• Must have dependable transportation to and from work.
• Must be able to respond quickly to changing priorities while not losing focus on what is outstanding.
• Candidate must have a commitment to continually learn more (including technology).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to stand/walk for up to a 10-hour shift, over time based on needs.
• Must be able to lift objects weighing 20-80 lbs., occasionally lifting objects more than 90 lbs.
• Twisting, bending, carrying, balancing, pushing, pulling, reaching, climbing, and stooping
• Follow standard operating/work methods and practice safe work habits
• Ability to work in a variety of temperatures
• All plant positions require to stand, practice frequent motion of extremities and withstand exposure to heat and cold for extended periods of time.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:  

Valid Driver’s License or State Identification

Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same

Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
