Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Apigee Developer to design, develop, and manage enterprise-grade API platforms using Google Apigee. The role requires deep expertise in API design, security, and lifecycle management, with a strong focus on scalable, high-performance integrations.
A candidate with a strong Java/J2EE background and integration experience (microservices, middleware, ESB) will be highly preferred.
Key Responsibilitie
s• Lead the design, development, and implementation of API solutions using Apigee (Edge/X/Hybrid
)• Define and enforce API design standards, governance, and best practice
s• Build and manage API proxies, shared flows, policies, and security framework
s• Implement robust API security (OAuth2, JWT, mTLS, rate limiting, threat protection
)• Design and develop integration solutions across systems (cloud/on-prem
)• Ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of API
s• Work closely with architecture, product, and engineering teams to enable digital transformation initiative
s• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and code review
s• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and optimize API performanc
e• Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for API deployment
