What are the responsibilities and job description for the IAM Architect position at Tech One IT?
IAM Architect
Location: Tampa, FL or REMOTE
Duration: 6 months w/ possibility of extension based on performance
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee a global operations team of IAM engineers, ensuring the stability and security of IAM solutions across multiple regions.
• Lead the design, implementation, and migration of IAM platforms, including integration with cloud and on-premises environments.
• Collaborate closely with IT Engineering, Architecture, and vendor teams to enhance security posture, optimize costs, and drive operational efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership for IAM initiatives, including platform upgrades, major initiatives, and client interactions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with internal security policies and industry best practices, working closely with Risk, Audit & Governance teams.
• Manage project oriented as well as operational support teams, emphasizing quality delivery, thorough documentation, and continuous process improvement.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of skill-building and high performance.
• Lead penetration testing, auditing, and risk governance activities related to IAM & other Cyber Initiatives.
• Oversee ITIL processes, including Change, Release, Problem, Incident, Configuration, Asset, and Application management.
Required Qualifications
• 10 years of experience in Identity & Access Management and Cybersecurity.
• Demonstrated technical expertise in architecting, deploying and operating IAM solutions (e.g., Ping/ForgeRock, Microsoft Entra ID).
○ Ping/ForgeRock platform experience is a must.
• Experience with cloud-based IAM implementations, including Azure Kubernetes Services.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading large, cross-functional, and global teams for end-to-end delivery.
• Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in high-pressure environments.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with ITIL processes and working in operations roles.
