What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laboratory Technician position at Tech Observer?
Position – Laboratory Technician
Location – Chanhassen, MN 55317
Contract – 8 Months with a possibility of extension
Shift – M-F 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Qualifications:
- B.Sc. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or a related field
- Hands on laboratory experience handling chemicals and various mixing and dispensing equipment
- Mechanical aptitude, technical troubleshooting, and problem-solving
- Good communication skills
- Experience with MS Office suite and other common technical software packages
Responsibilities:
- Support senior scientific staff on assigned projects
- Perform laboratory experiments and testing
- Record, organize, and communicate results/data from experiments and testing
- Maintain laboratory and storage areas, as well as equipment
- Be a role player on 5S and Lab Safety programs for Product Development
- Ensure adherence to all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations, standards, and policies
