Drop Bury Manager - Experience Required

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Drop Bury Manager to oversee and grow our underground drop bury operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications construction, proven leadership skills, and the ability to recruit, manage, and oversee multiple drop bury crews.

This role is responsible for ensuring all projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with customer and utility requirements. Candidates who can bring established, experienced crews are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily drop bury operations for fiber and telecommunications projects.
• Recruit, lead, and oversee drop bury crews and subcontractors.
• Coordinate schedules, routing, and workload assignments.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and customer specifications.
• Monitor production metrics and project timelines.
• Conduct site visits and field audits to ensure safety and workmanship.
• Work closely with customers, project managers, and utility representatives.
• Resolve operational challenges and field issues quickly and professionally.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, company safety policies, and local regulations.
• Manage equipment, materials, and labor resources effectively.
• Prepare and submit production reports and project updates.

QualificationsRequired

• 5 years of telecommunications construction experience.
• 3 years of drop bury management or supervisory experience.
• Proven experience managing multiple field crews.
• Strong understanding of fiber optic and telecommunications infrastructure.
• Ability to read construction prints and utility locates.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Preferred

• Existing drop bury crews available to join your team.
• Experience working with major telecom providers and fiber-to-the-home projects.
• OSHA certification.
• Knowledge of underground utility construction standards.
