Warehouse Clerk

Under general supervision of the Operations Director, the Shipping and Receiving Clerk will receive all incoming shipments, coordinate outbound shipments, and oversee the inventory in the facility.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

SHIPPING AND RECEIVING

• Unpacks, examines and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipping company to rectify damages and shortages.
• Places items received in the correct location/bins in the warehouse.
• Coordinates with the sales department to receive and process all defective parts returned for replacement or credit.
• Tag all pumps received for inspection/repair and coordinate with the inside sales department to add the pump to the repair tracker.
• Prepares items for shipment; compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
• Ships all items timely per paperwork instructions or verbal instructions.
• Pulls parts from inventory for all repair jobs and coordinates with the repair technicians to ensure unused parts get returned to inventory.
• Pulls parts from inventory for kit assembly and ships the kit to the customer upon completion.
• Operates lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper areas of the warehouse.
• Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Maintains the warehouse in an organized and clean manner.
• Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.
• Operates company DOT vehicles and provides efficient and safe delivery and pick-up of packages, pumps, and documents while representing the company in a professional manner.
• Performs duties in a safe manner and follows all safety policies.
• Assists repair shop with work on a needed basis

INVENTORY

• Conducts quarterly physical inventory counting efforts and notifies the Operations Manager of any discrepancies.
• Works in conjunction with the Operations Manager and the sales team to set and maintain site inventory levels.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

· Must be 18 years or older.

· Must have a valid driver's license, with no major infractions and be willing to travel occasionally.

· Knowledge of forklift operations.

· Must be able to pass a 9-panel drug test and background check.

· Basic computer skills to include navigation of internet websites and online shipping portals.

· High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment.

· Self-motivated and able to take the initiative on projects and tasks.

· Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals, shipping and receiving documents.

· Must have the ability to write routine reports and email correspondences.

· Must be able to perform basic mathematical equations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, use of whole numbers, and percentage and decimals.

· Must have excellent verbal communication skills to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & ABILITIES:

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outdoor weather conditions; extreme heat (non-weather) and risk of electrical shock.

· The noise level in the work environment is usually loud, occasionally moderate or very loud.

· The employees is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance or stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

· Must be able to lift 50 lbs. multiple times daily unassisted, 75 lbs. assisted, and push or pull 100 lbs. assisted.

Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods.
