POSITION: Accounting Clerk/Administrative Assistant
SUMMARY: Performs routine clerical and administrative work to include: basic accounting functions, assisting with administrative tasks; answering telephones, receiving the public, providing customer assistance and data processing. Other tasks as assigned by Accounting Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assist with customer and vendor accounts, including new setups and credit applications.
· Address and respond to customer and vendor inquiries.
· Accurately review, code and process vendor invoices, and reconcile invoice discrepancies.
· Generate customer invoices.
· Reconcile vendor statements to ensure all invoices are accounted for and properly posted. Ensure credits arereceived for outstanding vendor credit memos.
· Process vendor bill payments.
· Process reimbursement check requests and expense reports.
· Monitor and respond to accounting team group email account.
· Operate office equipment such as scanners, copiers, and voice mail systems.
· Greet clients warmly and answer phones while maintaining a high level of customer care.
· Regularly adhere to business procedure guidelines and obey all safety procedures.
· Provide back-up and support to all accounting department functions.
· Perform other duties assigned and take part in cross training.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High School diploma or equivalent. Associates degree a plus.
· General accounting experience a plus.
· General knowledge of Accounting Software Systems – Netsuite/SAP/Oracle a plus.
· Experience with MS Office programs.
· High degree of attention to detail.
· Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Ability to exercise good judgment with proprietary information.
· Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
· Creative, flexible, and innovative team player.
· Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
· Work in a standard office environment with others in attendance.
· Lift up to 25 lbs.
· Sit at a desk for up to 8 hours per day.
SCHEDULE:
· 40 hours per week.
· Must be available to work Monday through Friday
