ABOUT THE JOB
Join a dynamic team dedicated to operational excellence – As the Tech Etch Process Engineering Intern, you will collaborate with our esteemed Process Engineering Team to contribute to special projects and daily engineering operations. Under the guidance of an experienced Process Engineer Mentor, you will gain practical experience by addressing manufacturing production challenges hands-on.
SHIFT:
This position will be located at our Plymouth, MA facility, Monday-Thursday, for an 8-hour shift (Summer Fridays Off). We offer multiple shift options.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and implement process efficiency enhancements
- Research and evaluate greener chemical alternatives
- Draft and revise work instructions to facilitate process improvement
- Gain exposure to project management and apply chemistry knowledge in laboratory settings
- Delve into various aspects of manufacturing, including process monitoring, enhancements, PFMEA, and risk analysis, while honing soft skills like communication and team planning
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s Degree program, preferably in an engineering or chemical discipline
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment
- Proactive and self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow
Work Conditions & Physical Demands
- Standing and walking several hours per day
- Proficient in Microsoft office (word, excel, power point, etc.)
- Use of handheld equipment
- Working within chemical environments
