As our Staff Accountant, you will be the engine behind our daily transactional accounting, accounts receivable, and financial record-keeping. This isn't just a heads-down math role; you will act as a vital financial bridge, collaborating cross-departmentally with our Sales, Purchasing, and Warehouse teams to keep our financial ecosystem highly accurate and perfectly aligned.
- PO Reconciliation & Billing: Review, update, and match purchase orders to the correct billable amounts, ensuring absolute accuracy in our billing records.
- Bank Reconciliation: Complete and actively manage the daily bank match process to keep our accounts in perfect balance.
- Pricing Queue Management: Accurately enter purchase pricing for inventory being processed and received at our facility.
- Financial & Business Reporting: Own, manage, and update critical financial and business tracking dashboards utilizing Google Sheets.
- Expense & Reimbursement Management: Oversee credit card expenses and employee reimbursements seamlessly through Brex.
- Month-End Close: Prepare and execute key month-end close journal entries, specializing in Accruals, Fixed Assets, and Prepaids.
- Credit & Underwriting: Manage customer payment terms and credit limits in partnership with our external underwriting vendor.
- Credits & Returns: Collaboratively partner with Sales and Purchasing teams to resolve and manage credit memos for both vendors and customers.
- Collections: Directly handle and monitor collections for terms-based customers, protecting company cash flow while maintaining outstanding, professional customer relationships.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an equivalent financial field.
- Experience: 1–3 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Systems: Experience with Oracle NetSuite (or another mid-market ERP platform) is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: A solid, working understanding of GAAP and advanced proficiency in Google Sheets (including complex formulas).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate financial boundaries professionally and directly.
