We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level ETL Developer with a strong interest in data integration, data warehousing, and database technologies. The ideal candidate will assist in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining ETL processes while ensuring the efficient movement and transformation of data across enterprise systems. This role is ideal for recent graduates or candidates with internship or project experience who are eager to build their careers in data engineering and ETL development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain ETL workflows to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources.
- Assist in building and optimizing data pipelines for enterprise data warehouses.
- Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
- Perform data cleansing, validation, and transformation to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Monitor ETL jobs, troubleshoot failures, and resolve data-related issues.
- Collaborate with data engineers, database administrators, and business analysts to gather requirements.
- Support data migration and integration projects across multiple platforms.
- Document ETL processes, workflows, and technical specifications.
- Participate in code reviews and follow data engineering best practices.
- Stay updated with emerging ETL tools, database technologies, and industry trends.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
- Basic understanding of ETL concepts and data integration processes.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, including star and snowflake schemas.
- Familiarity with at least one ETL tool such as Informatica, Talend, SSIS, DataStage, or AWS Glue.
- Basic programming or scripting knowledge in Python, Java, or Shell scripting.
- Understanding of data modeling and database normalization.
- Experience with Git or other version control systems.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of Big Data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark.
- Experience with APIs, JSON, XML, and file-based data integration.
- Understanding of scheduling tools such as Control-M, Autosys, or Cron.
