Business Analyst – Life Insurance & QA ENGINEER OR QA ANALYST

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Business Analyst with 12 years of IT experience, including extensive Life Insurance domain expertise. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of the end-to-end Life Insurance policy lifecycle, strong business analysis skills, and experience working with cross-functional teams in Agile environments.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Functional Analysis
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements (BRD, FSD, Use Cases, User Stories).
- Perform gap analysis and recommend business process improvements.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications for development teams.
- Create workflow diagrams, process maps, wireframes, and business documentation.
Life Insurance Domain
Hands-on experience across the complete Life Insurance policy lifecycle:
- New Business & Onboarding
- Underwriting
- Policy Issuance & Servicing
- Premium Billing & Collections
- Claims Processing
- Persistency & Renewal
Strong understanding of Life Insurance products including:
- Term Life
- ULIP
- Endowment
- Annuity
- Riders
Project Collaboration
- Work closely with Product Owners, Business Stakeholders, Underwriting, Actuarial, Operations, QA, and Development teams.
- Lead requirement gathering workshops and stakeholder discussions.
- Support development, SIT, UAT, and production implementation.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Prepare test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
- Support SIT/UAT and validate system functionality against business requirements.
- Ensure complete requirement traceability and defect resolution.
Required Skills
- 12 years of Business Analyst experience.
- Strong Life Insurance domain experience is mandatory.
- Expertise in BRD, FSD, User Stories, Use Cases, Process Flows, Gap Analysis, and Functional Specifications.
- Strong understanding of Life Insurance systems, regulations, and policy administration workflows.
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Visio, and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Ingenium, Lodestar, Oracle Insurance, LifeAsia, or other Policy Administration Systems.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, integration flows, and SQL.
- Experience with digital transformation initiatives in the Life Insurance industry.
- Agile/Scrum certification is a plus.
