Job Overview:
We are seeking a senior-level Testing Specialist with a strong background in the Electricity Distribution business and specific expertise in DERMS (Distributed Energy Resource Management Systems). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with North American utilities, covering ADMS, SCADA, and the full implementation lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and system users to define project scope and business requirements.
- Develop comprehensive Test Strategies, test plans, and test scripts.
- Lead functional, integration, regression, and cross-platform testing.
- Execute manual and automated tests across various environments, including web and mobile.
- Manage defect tracking and reporting using JIRA, providing objective feedback to development teams.
- Communicate project risks and implement mitigation strategies while managing customer expectations.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- DERMS Expertise: Deep understanding of DERMS architecture, including Customer Connection Options (Solar, EV, ES), Monitoring and Dispatch Control (VPP, Demand Response, Microgrids), and FERC 2222 compliance.
- Testing Mastery: Mandatory hands-on testing experience in DERMS. Proficiency in performance and component testing is highly preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of Grid Services (NWA, Smart Inverter Functions) and ISO-DSO support.
- Technical Tools: Experience with JIRA and writing automated test scripts. AspenTech OSII DERMS experience is a significant advantage.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; able to work independently and within multi-disciplinary teams.
