Role Overview
We are seeking a Field Coordinator / Project Manager to support architectural millwork and casework projects from field verification through delivery and installation coordination. This role is focused on accurate field measurements, clear documentation, and coordination between the shop, the field, and the jobsite to support successful fabrication and installation.
Key Responsibilities
Field Verification & Site Coordination
- Visit multiple jobsites in the Pittsburgh area
- Take accurate, clearly documented field measurements for architectural millwork and casework
- Verify existing conditions and site readiness
- Photograph and document constraints, conflicts, and discrepancies
- Communicate field conditions clearly to internal PMs, drafters, engineers, and production
Drawings & Documentation
- Read and interpret architectural drawings and shop drawings
- Mark up drawings with field-verified dimensions and notes
- Identify conflicts between drawings and site conditions prior to fabrication
Shop-to-Field & Installation Coordination
- Act as the final coordination point in the shop prior to delivery
- Confirm which elevations / areas are complete and ready to ship
- Prepare and review shipping lists based on production status
- Coordinate deliveries with GC site superintendents
- Coordinate installation scheduling with install crews
- Ensure sequencing aligns with site conditions and construction schedules
Required Qualifications
- Experience with architectural millwork, casework, or interior construction
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings
- Strong field measurement skills with high attention to detail
- Clear, consistent written and verbal communication
- Comfortable working across shop, field, and jobsite environments
Comfortable using a computer for:
- Email communication
- File management
- Drawing review and markups
Preferred Skills
- Experience working directly with general contractors or in a superintendent-type role.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam for drawing reviews and markups.
- Familiarity with digital project tracking systems.
- Background in millwork fabrication, drafting, or construction coordination.
