CURRENTLY SEEKING FOR CHEMICAL LABORATORY - Recent Chemistry/Biology Graduates
TECH 2000 is currently seeking recent Chemistry/Biology graduates for an entry-level chemist assignment at our client facility within the Conroe area.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a science-related field strongly preferred; Associates in a Science is required
- Academic experience with analytical techniques, including GC, HPLC, ICP, and wet chemistry methods
- Any industrial lab analysis experience is helpful!
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine testing to determine and report the final product quality status to manufacturing
- Accurately input all data into the LIMS system and record test results in a legible manner in designated logbooks.
- Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment. Perform periodic preventative maintenance of all Laboratory equipment. Be able to troubleshoot equipment to identify and/or correct source of problem.
- Conduct job tasks in a professional manner utilizing good housekeeping practices and laboratory technique.
- Accurate review and generate customer COAs.
- Retain all finished samples and maintain retain storage in orderly condition.
Job Skills
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and LIMS experience preferred
- Identify and understand properties and hazards of chemicals
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex instructions such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information to co-workers and customers.
- Aptitude for high precision work
- Mechanical aptitude
- Basic knowledge of statistics and physical chemistry
Prior to employment, candidates will be required to submit to a drug screen and/or background check, and may be required to obtain a TWIC card.
Pay: $20.00 per hour, Contract-to-Hire
