Network Engineer – Level 2
Job Summary
We are looking for a Network Engineer – Level 2 to support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks, and network troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless devices.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity, performance, and hardware issues.
- Configure and troubleshoot Cisco switches and routers.
- Work with VLANs, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, and routing protocols.
- Troubleshoot LAN/WAN and wireless connectivity issues.
- Perform network device installations, upgrades, and replacements.
- Monitor network performance using tools such as SolarWinds or similar platforms.
- Handle network incidents and service requests using ITSM/ticketing tools.
- Perform network changes, maintenance, and documentation.
- Work with Level 1/Level 3 teams, vendors, and other IT teams to resolve complex issues.
- Follow security, change-management, and network standards.
- Provide onsite or remote support as required.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Cisco routers and switches.
- Good understanding of VLANs, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VPN.
- Experience with LAN/WAN and wireless technologies.
- Basic knowledge of firewalls and network security.
- Experience with network monitoring tools.
- Experience with ServiceNow or another ITSM tool.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- CCNA or CCNP certification is a plus.
- Experience with Palo Alto, Fortinet, or similar firewalls.
- Knowledge of OSPF/BGP is a plus.
- Experience with data center or enterprise network environments.
- Experience with SolarWinds or similar monitoring tools.
