Overview:
This role focuses on providing end-to-end support for imaging, configuring, and handing over EUC (End-User Computing) devices, including laptops, desktops, printers, RF guns, and OT devices. The engineer will ensure smooth deployment of new devices and proactive support aligned with Cummins Core Applications and Atmus network standards. Tasks include hardware setup, OS deployment (via USB, SCCM, or Intune Autopilot), connectivity validation, and initial end-user support.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with Windows OS imagingvia USB, SCCM, or Intune Autopilot
- Strong knowledge of network configuration (DHCP, file system, LAN connectivity)
- Familiarity with printer/scanner setup, device unboxing, and physical deployment
- Experience supporting application installations, OS login issues, and testing access to local/central apps
- Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for enterprise environments
- Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
- Prior experience in an industrial/manufacturing setup (preferred but not mandatory)
Equipment:
- USB stick with OS image
- Laptop with admin rights and access to SCCM/Intune portals
- Standard tool kit (screwdrivers, cable testers, zip ties)
- Network patch cables, power cords, docking stations
- Printer configuration utilities/software
- Label printer (optional for asset tagging)
Pre-Site Activities:
- Complete the JHA Document and send it to TECEZE
- Send the lift Certification to TECEZE
- Review deployment schedule and assigned device list
- Ensure all imaging tools, USB sticks, and credentials are ready
- Confirm access to SCCM/Intune and Cummins Core Applications
- Verify network credentials and VLAN assignments for new devices
- Coordinate with the project/IT team for access to the deployment area
On-Site Activities:
- Unbox, inspect, and verify devices; perform Power-On Self-Test (POST)
- Connect required cables and peripherals; perform rack & stack where applicable
- Initiate OS image deployment using:
- Scenario 1: Manual USB method or SCCM task sequence
- Scenario 2: Intune Autopilot with cloud provisioning
- Perform device configuration (DHCP, domain join, storage setup)
- Configure and connect local/network printers, RF guns, OT devices
- Validate network connectivity and application access
- Provide basic training or handover to end users/project team
- Log all activity, device status, and issues encountered
Post-Site Activities:
- Submit deployment report with:
- Device details and status
- Completed tasks and issues resolved
- Photos or sign-off (if required)
- Update asset inventory records
- Return unused equipment/tools
- Coordinate with remote IT team for monitoring or patching follow-ups
