Job description
Equipment Rework coordinates with multiple departments in identifying, organizing, diagnosing and rectifying equipment correction needs.
Maintenance Technician is asked to assist the facility in various functions such as plumbing, carpentry, landscaping, painting, and electrical repairs.
Equipment Rework & Repair
- Coordinate with Service Technicians and branch personnel to identify equipment issues and determine corrective actions.
- Diagnose equipment problems and order necessary replacement parts.
- Implement corrective repairs to ensure equipment is restored to proper working conditions.
- Operate a variety of tools and machinery, including saws, hand tools, power tools, pumps, and compressors.
- Safely operate a forklift as needed.
Facility Maintenance
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure the building and equipment operate efficiently.
- Assist with general facility tasks including plumbing, carpentry, landscaping, painting, and basic electrical repairs.
- Complete building maintenance assignments as requested.
- Support cross‑departmental projects and collaborate with other teams when needed.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- High School diploma or GED
- EPA Certification
- Basic knowledge of electric, plumbing, and mechanical, and HVAC functionality
- Previous experience in maintenance, equipment repair, or a related field
- Knowledge of hazardous cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Ability to work independently
- At least 2 years of related work experience
- Experience using dollies, pallet jacks and forklifts.
Physical Demands
- Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted
- Able to climb up and down a ladder as high as 15ft carrying up to 50lbs
- Standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crawling, sitting, & constant movements of hands to operate tools/machines
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Work Environment
- Work is performed indoors & outdoors with regular exposure to cold, heat, noise, and movements of machine/equipment.
Salary Expectations
Minimum Starting Rate of $24
Starting Rate Based on Experience
Requirements:Education & Experience
- 3-year Trade school degree in HVACR, or completion of a union apprentice program in the HVACR environment.
- 10 years' experience in the HVACR industry related to service and installation.
Physical Demands Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
- General office environment.
- Routine use of office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, and fax machines
- Requires seating for extended amounts of time, manual dexterity for working with computer keyboards.
- Job site visits requiring roof access via ladders and scuttle Accesses.
- Must be able to carry a backpack weighing up to 50 pounds at job sites.
Salary : $24
