Manufacturing Engineer II
About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer II to join their innovative Entertainment Systems team. This group partners with some of the world's largest entertainment brands to create extraordinary guest experiences found in theme parks around the globe.
In this role, you will evaluate and improve manufacturing processes by applying engineering principles related to product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials. You will play a key role in driving manufacturing efficiency, supporting product launches, implementing equipment and tooling, and leading continuous improvement efforts.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate manufacturing feasibility related to capacity planning, product design, engineering changes, quality concerns, and scope changes.
- Develop manufacturing process flows, production layouts, and detailed work instructions.
- Define capital equipment, tooling, and fixture requirements while supporting program budgets.
- Manage procurement, installation, validation, and acceptance of manufacturing equipment and tooling.
- Lead manufacturing engineering activities throughout product development, launch, and production phases.
- Support pilot builds, production trials, run-at-rate activities, and process approvals.
- Identify ergonomic concerns with products, equipment, and processes and implement corrective improvements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and cost.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and manufacturing personnel.
- Support implementation and training of new manufacturing equipment and processes.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident due to ITAR requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a production-based manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on knowledge of manufacturing processes including:
- Weld fixtures and weldments
- Metal fabrication and assembly processes
- Low-volume manufacturing environments
- Time studies and workflow analysis
- Experience developing work instructions and improving manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and MS Project.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Salary : $90,000 - $92,500
