What You Will Be Doing:
- Lead and support the engineering team with strong communication and collaborative leadership
- Manage schedules, priorities, and KPIs to support production timelines and quality goals
- Mentor and develop engineers while fostering accountability and teamwork
- Oversee engineering workflows across multiple locations
- Maintain and manage the master engineering calendar for drawings and submittals
- Coordinate with third-party engineering and design partners as needed
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies and external design professionals
- Oversee 2D and 3D CAD and BIM standards across projects
- Apply engineering and production standards across HUD, modular, and commercial builds
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of drawings, documentation, and records
- Support adoption of new tools, technologies, and best practices
- Partner closely with project management, procurement, sales, and production teams
- Step in hands-on when complex design or production challenges arise
What You Bring to the Table:
- At least 4 years of experience in modular construction
- Minimum 4 years of experience leading engineering or design teams
- Strong understanding of modular systems, architectural design, and manufacturing workflows
- 6 or more years of hands-on CAD experience
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and related design tools
- Solid knowledge of drafting standards, engineering principles, and fabrication practices
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and retain high-performing teams
- Comfortable working across departments and with external partners
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Highly valued experience includes:
- 3D modeling and BIM workflows
- Tools such as Navisworks, BIM360, Lumion, Chief Architect, Tekla, Procore, SolidWorks, SketchUp, Rhino, Dynamo, or Grasshopper
- ERP systems and production-based workflows
