What are the responsibilities and job description for the Precision Quality Inspector position at Tec-First?
This role performs in-process and final inspections on precision-machined parts to tight tolerances, interpret blueprints, and document nonconformances to ensure compliance with quality standards.
The hours are Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
Responsibilities:
Perform in-process and final inspections on precision-machined components to tolerances as tight as ±0.0002" Interpret complex blueprints, drawings, and GD&T to verify dimensional accuracy Use advanced measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure compliance Identify and document nonconformances, initiate NCRs, and support root cause investigations Partner with production and engineering teams to maintain high quality standards and continuous improvement Support quality documentation and inspection records for customer and aerospace requirements.
Must Have:
- 2–5 years of quality inspection experience in precision machining
- Experience working with tight tolerances (down to .0005" or tighter)
- Strong blueprint reading skills (GD&T preferred)
- Previous experience with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc)
Good to have:
- Experience in aerospace quality standards
- Ability to document nonconformances and support root cause investigations
- Experience partnering with production and engineering teams
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of quality documentation and inspection records
- Experience with customer requirements in quality control
Pay: $51,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
