Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items following established recipes and safety standards.
- Operate cash registers efficiently, handling cash, credit cards, and mobile payments with precision and integrity.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas.
- Ensure food safety protocols are followed during food handling, preparation, and serving to uphold health standards.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality service.
- Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness.
- Assist customers who come in to tan. Start the tanning bed for them as well as onboard new tanning clients and make tanning sales when needed.
Experience
- Previous barista experience or background in coffee service is highly preferred to ensure familiarity with beverage preparation techniques.
- Experience in cashiering or retail math helps in accurately handling transactions and cash handling responsibilities.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that enhances guest experiences.
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Clover advantageous for efficient order processing.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing sales totals accurately.
- Food safety knowledge and experience in food handling or food preparation are beneficial for maintaining hygiene standards.
- Food handlers card, or the ability to get one.
- Ability to multitask effectively while managing serving duties, food safety compliance, and customer interactions in a fast-paced environment.
