We are seeking a strategic and operational Senior Manager, Warehouse and Distribution to drive excellence in our third-party logistics (3PL), internal warehousing, freight operations, and inventory management functions.

This critical role demands a leader who can leverage technology, data analytics, and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean/Six Sigma) to ensure cost efficiency, service reliability, and operational excellence across a $25MM inventory portfolio spanning over 10 company and 3PL locations.

What You'll Do

• Strategic Oversight: Implement and optimize comprehensive logistics and inventory strategies for internal and 3PL warehousing operations nationwide.
• 3PL & Freight Management: Manage operational execution of all 3PL activities, ensuring rigorous compliance with SLAs, and oversee freight operations (carrier coordination, route optimization) to achieve timely, cost-effective deliveries.
• Inventory Control: Design and maintain efficient inventory management processes—including demand forecasting, cycle counting, and obsolescence management—for raw materials, components, and finished goods, optimizing levels and minimizing carrying costs.
• Technology & Data: Utilize WMS, TMS, and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics) to enhance visibility, streamline operations, and drive data-informed decision-making.
• Continuous Improvement: Champion Lean/Six Sigma principles to drive efficiency, reduce waste, and mitigate operational risks across the supply chain.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team responsible for 3PL coordination, freight execution, and inventory management.
• Financial Stewardship: Assist in developing and managing the operational budget for logistics, freight, and inventory functions, ensuring strict adherence to financial targets.
  
  

What You'll Need

• Experience: 10–12 years of progressive supply chain experience, with at least 5–7 years in a managerial role overseeing 3PL warehousing, freight operations, or multi-site inventory management.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
• Technical Acumen: Advanced proficiency with MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and robust data analysis skills (Excel, BI platforms).
• Inventory Expertise: Strong background in inventory control processes, demonstrating proven results in reducing carrying costs or improving turnover rates.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate teams, fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth.
• Bonus Points: Experience working within a CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) or Food & Beverage manufacturing environment is a significant plus.
